Daily Exercise: If you have a contaminated lymphatic system, it’s best to start with moderate exercise, but be consistent. Start off as a turtle rather than a rabbit, and if you raise your energy level, you can increase the intensity.

One of the easiest, safest, and most effective forms of exercise is rebounding.’ It means simply jumping up and down lightly on a small trampoline, which is a perfect movement to promote the circulation of lymph. It also stimulates the detoxification of other organs.

Alternative Treatments

If exercise is not what you wish, or if you also want to use other remedies, you can also consider alternative therapies that get the lymph circulation going.

Manual lymph drainage, a massage technique, is a simple way to detox your lymphatic system. An experienced massager can promote circulation and get fat, moisture, toxins, and other waste products from your cells so that your body can get rid of it effectively.

Acupuncture, an old and effective alternative treatment method, also helps to open pathways in your body that stimulate lymph circulation and help to eliminate toxins from the body.

An infrared sauna is also an easy and good method since the sweat secreted through the skin reduces the pressure on your lymphatic system and makes it work more effectively.

Hot and Cold Showers

It may sound a bit sadistic, but alternating hot and cold showers have a positive effect on the lymphatic system. The warm water causes the blood vessels to expand, and the cold causes them to contract again, creating a pumping action that causes stagnant fluid to flow back into the system.

Since your lymphatic system does not have its own pumping function, these and similar treatments are great ways to get the fluid moving again.

You must avoid this treatment if you have heart disease or if you are pregnant.

Dry Brushing

Brush your dry skin in a circular motion with a soft hair brush before you go for a shower. Start with your feet and go in the direction of your torso, and do the same with your fingers in the direction of your chest. You must follow the same direction that your lymph flows in the direction of your heart.

This also stimulates the functioning of the lymphatic system and opens the pores so that toxic substances can be removed.

Drink Enough Water

You have heard it before: drink water! However, I must point out that if you do not drink water at a regular interval, you actually get more toxins because your body easily absorbs toxins such as fluoride, chlorine, volatile organic compounds, and others.

So invest in a good filtration system or use mineral water that is free from harmful inhibitors. You can also add a little lemon juice.

Avoid Tight-fitting Clothing

It is important that you do not wear tight-fitting clothes that hinder the proper circulation of the lymph. This can lead to blockages and toxins accumulating in certain parts of your body.

Areas where this may occur in particular are the bra in women who are too tight under the armpits, where lymph nodes are located, and the groin lymph nodes, where tight underwear can cause this problem over time.

It’s fine to wear loose clothes or undergarments; wear bras as little as possible.

Breathing Deeply

Another way to give the lymphatic system a ‘pumping function’ is to breathe deeply. Since the body has three times as much lymph as blood, this exercise is very important to get toxins from the lymph into the blood so that the kidneys and liver can detoxify them. So breathe in deeply and breathe out slowly to promote this process.

Healthy Foods

Eating unprocessed foods that are rich in nutrients and a raw diet with mostly fruits and vegetables is the first step if you want to ensure the proper flow of lymph. Foods that are particularly good for the lymphatic system include:

  • Dark leafy vegetables
  • Fruits with a low sugar content
  • Garlic
  • Ground linseed
  • Seaweed
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Algae
  • Chia seed
  • Avocado
  • Cranberries
  • Walnuts
  • Brazil nuts
  • Almonds

These foods help ensure that you have enough vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and enzymes to clean your lymphatic system even more effectively.
